Tanner Short is a Master’s student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Calgary. In his free time, he enjoys curling, eating food with friends and family, and playing video games. His research interests include technology, gender, immigration, and mixed methodologies. His thesis examines Twitter data and the impact the pandemic has had on Canadian’s online discussions of refugee individuals and refugee experiences. He loves to learn from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives and methodologies while also applying critical and intersectional theoretical lenses.
